Album: The ReminderLeslie Feist puts out her FANTASTIC must-listen to second album, The Reminder, follow up to 2004′s Let It Die. We’ve listened to it so much that it’s started skipping in our CD player. From up-tempo acoustic tunes like “I Feel It All”, the tribal beat re-make of “Sealion”, to the sultry “How My Heart Behaves”, and seductive “The Water”, Feist’s vocal and instrumental performance on 2007′s The Reminder combines a mature yet vulnerable sound.
Recorded at La Frette Studio in France early last year, The Reminder additionally carries this unplugged version of “Intuition” where Feist poignantly ponders the possibilities of past relationship regret with lyrics:
And it’s impossible to tell
How important someone was
And what you might have missed out on
And how he might have changed it all
And how you might have changed it all for him
Did I did I miss out on you.
This album is about maturing past adolescent love, coming to terms with the path you’ve walked in life while collecting your thoughts as you move toward the future of positivity. On a musical note, you can look forward to lots of harps, banjos, and organs that accompany Feist’s classic acoustic and electric guitars.
As far as classic albums go, The Reminder is a sure bet.
The Reminder:
*We Love These…Well, we love all of um, but these ones first…
