New Metric Album – Fantasies – Out on iTunes Today!

March 31, 2009 ROCKHER No Comments

fantasies.jpgWasn’t sure if Metric could continue to ride the wave of musical excellence after their past two albums (Live It Out, Old World Underground), but the Canadian indie-pop/rock band has successfully reached new heights in electro-sound with their latest album Fantasies released (independentally in the US) today on iTunes. Fantasies dives deep with heavier bass, and dark electronic rock roots — sorta Ladytron/Bowie Ziggy Stardust.  Favorite tracks like Help, I’m Alive, Satellite Mind, Gold Guns Girls, and Gimme Sympathy definitely are repeat-listen worthy, but Fantasies is a no track-skip album in the most exciting way. Fantasies is fresh, relevant Metric music, and a totally necessary must-listen album for 2009.  If you’re a total cheep-o, head over to their MySpace page to listen to practically the entire album on their media player.
