Tickets are now on sale for the first annual all-female music festival Tinderbox, organized by musician’s Alyson Greenfield, Jennifer Newman, and Alicia Matusheski. Tinderbox organizers were able to raise $5,327 from 86 charitable doners through popular creative fundraising site Kickstarter, and plan on giving proceeds from the festival to localBrooklyn non-profits Willie Mae Rock Camp for Girls and Girls Write Now. The all day music festival, featuring 19 performances of diverse musical backgrounds, will take place at South Paw in Brooklyn’s popular Park Slope neighborhood on September 26th. Artists appearing include Jenny Owen Youngs, Bitch, Kalae, Jessie Murphey In The Woods among many other talented local female musicians. Tickets are only $17 (advanced) or $20 (day of show).
