We’re always seeking out new writers for our team. Please send an email to write@rockhermag.com with a writing sample, CD review, or other clips, a list of current musical favHerites, and a brief self introduction. We are particularly interested in people with heavy enthusiasm for and knowledge of women’s music, women musicians in male dominated bands, and/or women working behind the scenes in the music industry. RockHer accepts pieces on most musical genres, but any and all willing contributors are encouraged to submit. Considering our status as a small small small organization, we encourage the contributions of volunteer labor, but we do try to provide compensation as best we can in form of free concert tickets, cds and swag. What can we say? Blame it on the economy”¦

Want to intern at the coolest women’s music blog on the web but can’t afford to travel to NYC for the whole semester??? Intern with RockHer! Not only is it an excellent opportunity to learn TONS about the music industry, but you’ll leave here with web-publishing clips, super organizational and journalism skills, and even some free CDs.
All our internships are telecommute positions so you can live in Wyoming, Texas, Japan, or be working a full-time job (don’t ask, don’t tell, right) so as long as you put in the hours, we’ll make sure to work with your schools internship requirements. Currently, RockHer cannot provide you any extra spending cash, and these internships can only be done for school credit. Internships normally run from 3-4 months during the Fall, Spring, and Summer semesters.

Internship duities will include

-collecting artist and band tour info
-updating social networking sites
-compiling promotion database lists
-reviewing cds and new music material
-maintaining cd release calendar

If you’re still interested, please e-mail intern@rockhermag.com with a short bio (tell us how you’re connected to women’s music) and a sample review of 100 – 200 words (cd, concert, music video, song)
